Green-Tech Foundation, Meghalaya-India have adopted a constitution which envisages the conservation of the ecosystem, biodiversity and our Mother Earth wholesomely. With the adoption of The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) ratified during the Earth Summit at Rio De Janeiro 1992, we have committed to deliberate our objective to combat the phenomenon of Climate Change in the State of Meghalaya and the Northeast Region of India. The constitution gives sanctity to the office of the Chairman, The Governing Body, The Executive Council and its Members manifesting the essence of the Foundation in its sole purpose towards Environmentalism. The aims and objectives of the Foundation as envisaged under Article 3 of its Constitution states:
1. To protect the natural beauty of our environment for the citizens through efficient, effective and fiscally responsible practices.
2. To educate and create awareness the importance of the link between environment and development.
3. To work for pollution-free and pollution control of both water and air. Meanwhile, to find a solution related to various types of wastes which may cause serious impacts on Human-Health and to our Mother Earth as a whole.
4. To promote and generate employment in the State of Meghalaya, North-East India and the world as a whole by promoting and bringing more innovative ideas related to environmental protection.
5. To lobby governments for policies and laws that truly protects and save our Mother Nature.
6. Our foundation doesn’t accept any form violence as a method of achieving our goals.
7. Last but not the least, to fight against any individual or group who pose a threat to the society and destroy our environment.
